WLMS Block Party Postponed & Student Schedules-8/23/23 Good morning WLMS community. I am reaching out to update you on two very important items as we get closer to welcoming our new and returning Tigersharks this upcoming Monday. Our WLMS BLOCK PARTY IS POSTPONED but do you still need school supplies?? Due to the pending forecast for tomorrow afternoon and evening we have decided to postpone our annual WLMS Block Party. A new date will be chosen for later this Fall and sent out to the community in the near future. One of the key purposes of our Block Party besides connecting with our community is ensuring that all students have what they need to begin the school year. With that in mind we will be holding an open house tomorrow evening for anyone in the community who is in need of a backpack or school supplies to start the school year. Plus, we have some free books from our Media Center! We are very grateful to our community partners who donated items to support our students. Additionally, there will be tables set up for Family File sign-up and to join the PTSA. If your student could use a new backpack and supplies to get started on Monday or if you need help with Family File please stop by WLMS tomorrow, Thursday August 24, between 4:30 pm and 6 pm. Student Schedules Please note that as we continue to enroll and withdrawal students, we continue to balance classes. This means your students' schedule is subject to change prior to Monday morning. ALL students will receive clean copies of their schedule during their Homeroom this coming Monday morning. Unless there is an obvious error in your student's schedule, please do not contact Student Services for course change requests at this time. Stay tuned for this Friday's newsletter that will have additional information you need to ensure your student gets off to a great start on Monday. In the meantime, rest up and enjoy the final days of summer break. Make it a great day. Mr. Rattay, Principal Family File update: We have 52% of our family files submitted. Please visit HCPSS.org/connect and update your childs emergency contact information. Students will not be able to participate in Field Trips without them.Wed, 06/28/2023 - 11:22am
