Special Request from WLMS Health Room
As you have heard, we are seeing an increase in the number of students here at Wilde Lake Middle and the entire community testing positive for COVID. This is a special plea to please be extra diligent in the coming days checking with your students before you send them to school for signs/symptoms of the COVID:
· Fever of 100.4 or higher
· Sore throat
· Cough
· Difficulty breathing
· Diarrhea or Vomiting
· Onset of severe headache (especially with fever)
· New loss of taste or smell
If any symptoms are present, please do not send them to school and consider getting them tested. In addition, we are doing our best to contact all close contacts of our students who have tested positive with our first priority being those who are not vaccinated so they can begin the quarantine protocol. We are also contacting, as best we can, those students who have been fully vaccinated so parents can monitor. It has been challenging keeping up with this task so please be patient and be extra diligent in monitoring your student for symptoms.
We thank you for your cooperation and if you have any concerns or questions you may contact myself, Ms.Grzybinski, school nurse, or Ms.Brown, school health assistant. Annette_Grzybinski@hcpss.org Thomasena_Brown@hcpss.org
