To the families of Wilde Lake Middle School,

As part of our school improvement process, we are asking families to provide input about their equity priorities at our school. Please use the link below to complete the HCPSS Indicators of Educational Equity Survey by June 2nd. We will use your input, along with other school data, to refine our school improvement plan for next year. 

This survey is anonymous and available in multiple languages. If you have children at more than one school, please complete one survey per school.

  • June 12th- 8th Grade Family Block Party Celebration Just as last year, this event is not a formal event.  It will be similar to our beginning of year block party.

  • June 14th- Last Day of School  3 hour early dismissal

Last Shark Bite Store of the year and Parent/Guardian Volunteers Needed!

This Friday we will have our last Shark Bite Store during student lunches and we currently do not have enough volunteers. Please review this Sign-up Genius to see if there are any times that you are able to come in and help out. The store can’t happen without more volunteers. Thank you for your support!

Open Positions for the ‘23/‘24 School Year:  We are planning for the PTSA Board for next school year, and we have several open positions. If you are interested in one of the open positions or learning more about them, please email us (email below). Open Positions include: President, Vice President, Membership, Restaurant Nights, and PTACHC Rep.

WLMS Performing Arts Boosters Message:

Come to An Evening of the Arts at WLMS!  Friday evening, June 2, the cafeteria will be transformed into an elegant cafe!  Come see performances of students in the chorus, band, orchestra, theater, and dance programs!  And purchase some light refreshments for sale during the event (cakes, fruit, crackers and cheese, etc.).  Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students, with a cap of $15 per family.  Buy your tickets today:

Message from Nurse:
Wilde Lake Families with students entering into 7th grade school year 2023-2024. Please read the following information regarding immunizations required for the START of the school year. 
 
Immunization Requirements - Rising 7th Grade Students (en ingles y español)
Effective the first day of school, 1 dose of Tdap vaccine and 1 dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) are required by the state of Maryland for all students entering Grade 7.  
Many students may have already received these immunizations, but the Health Room may not have the updated immunization record.  
Please contact your child’s doctor to schedule an appointment before the start of 2022-2023 school year to receive the mandatory vaccines and/or send in an updated copy of your child’s immunizations to the Health Room. The health room can be reached @ 410-313-8940. Immunizations records can be emailed to Joni_dorsey@hcpss.org, Cluster Nurse Wilde Lake Middle School.
Call the Health Department at 410-313-7500 to schedule a vaccination appointment for your child.  
If we DO NOT receive proof of immunization, your child will be excluded from school.   Any questions and/or concerns feel free to call the health room at 410-313-8940..
 

Atholton High School Athletics Night: June 6th

Welcome to those 8th graders who will be attending Raider Nation next year. The Atholton athletic department would like to welcome you and your parents to a brief meeting to see what Atholton athletics is about. If you plan on trying out for a fall sport, this would be a great opportunity for you to meet the coaches. From 6pm-6:30pm, parent and students will be able to tour the main gym to see many of the programs we offer here at Atholton HS. From 6:30-7pm, parents and students will meet in the cafeteria with Athletics and Activities Manager, Mr. Senisi, to discuss high school athletics and tryout paperwork. From 7-7:30pm, parents and students will meet in breakout session with the fall coaches.

Important Dates:

    August 6th: All tryout paperwork is due

    August 9th-11th: 1st days of fall tryouts. Practices will begin immediately after  

                                tryouts, so please plan vacations accordingly. We do not offer

                                supplemental tryouts.

Summer Sports Camps

The Wilde Lake Athletic Department and Boosters Club are proud to offer Summer Sports Camps each year! We encourage participation by anyone interested, regardless of skill level or experience. Camps are led by WLHS Coaches and associated with extensive youth coaching experience at all levels. This year's camps include Basketball, Football, Soccer, Boys' Lacrosse, Cheerleading, Field Hockey, Softball, and Speed Training.
