WLMS Students were treated to delicious hot cocoa (and/or hot apple cider) at lunch on Thursday, December 21st to kick off our 'Winter Reading Challenge'.
Students are encouraged to read 10 times over winter break for a minimum of 10 minutes each time (students are encouraged set their own goals). Each reading session = 1 marshmallow!
Any student completing the challenge can bring their completed 'hot cocoa' (signed by a parent/guardian) to their homeroom teacher on Tuesday, January 4th. Participants will earn 25 "gotchas".
Students may read material of their choice. We encourage students to use their new Howard County Library Card which can now be accessed from hcpss.me with a student username and password - or they can try out one of our Mackin Via e-books.
Please join with us in encouraging your student to read over winter break!
