January 27, 2017
Greetings!
It is hard to believe that we have reached the end of Semester 1!  We are very proud of our students and look forward to a wonderful transition to the second half of the school year.   Semester 2 begins on Monday, and report cards come home with students on February 3rd.   We encourage parents/family members to attend our next PTSA General Meeting on February 7th.    Our PTSA, especially our officers, make tremendous investments of time and energy in our school. The administrative team would like to express our gratitude for your efforts and support during Semester 1.
We look forward to continuing our partnership with students, families, and community; we are excited to start the next portion of our school year!

Congratulations to the WLMS Future City Team for competing last weekend at the Baltimore Museum of Industry!  Future City is a project based learning program where students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades imagine, research, design, and build 3-D city models of the future.  Thank you to Van Doan, 8th grade parent, Jeffrey Friedhoffer, Wilde Lake Village Center Education Chair, and Sarah Russo, Media Specialist, for initiating this new after school program at Wilde Lake MS.   Our students made us proud.  They came home with two trophies that are now sitting in one of our new display cases:  Best Land Surveying Practices and Students’ Choice Award.  Way to go . . . Harrison Cohen, Alex Chen, Marvin Chen, Aminah Coleman, Gabriela Hernandez, Josh Molinari Alex Nguyen, Lexi Nguyen, and Alex Wood!
